Harriet’s Eternal Tears

Harriet’s Eternal Tears is based on a working class family in South Wales, whose lives are torn apart when the two sons enlist. David joins the Fusiliers whilst his sixteen year old brother, Emrys, joinsa Cyclist Battalion.
Their mother, Harriet, works in a munitions factory and needs to cope with the anxiety and grief of war.
Characters who come into the family’s lives include suffragettes Sylvia Pankhurst and Ethel Snowden, who change Harriet’s beliefs for ever.
It is an emotional rollercoaster which is also uplifting.
All profits are going to the mental health charity Combat Stress.
